ACCESSIBLE BOOKING.

This program primarily focuses on creating lineups of different diverse Bay Area acts, as well as supporting independent touring artists with little to no financial backing, to bridge independent creative scenes through immersive, primarily multimedia shows. This program benefits charitable causes, gets independent artists paid, offers internship experience to typically marginalized communities who are interested in working in the entertainment industry, offers retail opportunities to visual artists and vendors, and supports our local venues, cultivating the Bay’s rich and diverse arts and culture.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.

Big Leap Collective provides real-world educational opportunities, aiming to encourage underserved community members to learn industry skills such as sound engineering, graphic design, booking live events, and event management, in a live, low-pressure hands-on environment. In future programs, we will also begin to offer sliding-scale workshops and mentorship programs with industry professionals to teach work study students and volunteers collaborative important entertainment business know-how.

COMMUNITY HEALTH RESOURCES.

We offer attendees accessible health resources of all shapes and sizes at each of our events, such as informational zines and comics, safe sex resources, and drug test strips for harm reduction. We are also amidst launching a volunteer staff of EMT-trained, peaceful Community Concert Safety Patrol to maintain peaceful de-escalation and resolve potential conflicts at live events to keep everyone safe and comfortable.
